How to Reheat Lobster Bisque
For Two Servings:
1. Prepare: Remove the Mason jar from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to avoid thermal shock.
2. Open: Carefully unscrew the jar lid.
3. Heat: In a 1-quart thick-bottomed stainless-steel saucepan, simmer 1 ounce of water (or light stock) over medium-low heat.
4. Transfer: Empty the bisque into the saucepan using a heat-resistant silicone spatula.
5. Rinse the Jar: Add 1 ounce of water (or light stock) to the jar, close it, and shake well. Pour this liquid into the saucepan.
6. Simmer: Stir occasionally and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat for about 2 minutes.
7. Optional Cream: For extra richness, stir in 2 ounces of cream and simmer for 2 minutes.
8. Taste: Adjust seasoning if needed.
9. Serve: Pour the hot bisque into warm soup bowls.
10. Add Garnish: Top with seafood (e.g., lobster, shrimp, crawfish, or fish) and finish with puff pastry fleuron or croutons.
